Hartwell House Assisted Living ….an elegant home for older adults who wish to maintain independence in comfortable suites with personalized assistance.
Residents enjoy the comfort and privacy of their own suites while knowing that assistance is available from our staff 24 hours a day. Three home-cooked meals per day are served in our beautiful dining room. Laundry and housekeeping services are also available and regular entertainment and activities offer opportunities for fellowship.

- Activity based direct care staff
- Weekly housekeeping
- Bed/bedroom linens and laundering

- Scheduled activities, trips to museums, malls, daily walks, outings and parties

Through our activity-based programming we focus on stimulating mental, social and physical engagement. Every day there are at least two structured activities offered per hour to accommodate individual interests and abilities.
Upon admission, a Life Story Assessment is completed for each resident. This includes basic facts about the person’s life, their interests and hobbies, their career or leisure experiences, as well as their favorite foods, movies, etc. This tool allows us to build the content of our activity programming around the specific interests of each resident. Despite the decline in cognitive function, certain activities that were once favored may still trigger interest and incite participation. We put an emphasis on community engagement, as well – daily walks in the neighborhood and frequent outings to museums, entertainment, special events, shopping and dining are just a few of the opportunities we offer.
